Honda disappointed by Japanese GP cancellation

Honda has expressed its disappointment towards the fact that the Japanese Grand Prix is cancelled for the second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is understood that 2021 is Honda’s final season in Formula 1. It was the last chance for Japanese fans to see the team compete at Suzuka.

“It is a shame that for the second year in a row it is not possible to hold the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka,” Honda said in a statement. “We at Honda were even more disappointed because this is the last year of our Formula 1 project and we know many fans were excited to go to the race.”

“However, the 2021 season is exciting and promising. We will do our best and strive hard to reach the goal of winning both worlds. It is the end of Honda’s Formula 1 project and we hope the fans will continue to support us.”
