Current F1 Drivers Called “Bloody Boring”

David Coulthard, a retired F1 driver turned media personality, has spoken out about the upcoming 5th season of the popular Netflix series, Drive to Survive. The show has been criticized in the past for exaggerating and dramatizing events with clever editing techniques. Coulthard has defended the use of these techniques, suggesting that they are necessary to keep the show interesting and entertaining.

Coulthard first spoke about the accessibility of the sport to new fans, saying that F1 has seen an increase in younger viewers. He explained that F1 is not like other TV shows where one needs to start from the beginning to understand the story. He said, “The nature of the sport is you can jump in at any point.”

Coulthard then turned his attention to Drive to Survive, saying that some of the drivers were not entirely happy with the conversations being placed in certain locations by the editing team. However, he defended the use of clever editing, saying, “The reality is if it wasn’t done like that it wouldn’t be anywhere near as interesting or as fun. It’s part of the show and it’s part of the entertainment.”

Coulthard then went on to express his opinion on the F1 drivers, saying, “Most of the drivers are bloody boring, to be honest! Netflix makes them seem quite interesting!” He suggested that the clever editing used in Drive to Survive helps make the drivers seem more interesting than they actually are.

The popular series has helped to bring in new fans to the sport and has helped to create a buzz around the F1 season. It has become a hit with both F1 fans and those new to the sport.

The upcoming 5th season of Drive to Survive is set to air soon and promises to provide viewers with an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the 2022 F1 season. As always, fans can expect to see some dramatic moments and fascinating insights into the lives of the F1 drivers.
